mac repair disk greyed out
2008
How can I fix my Mac disk?
I have a MBP 13 "with Snow Leopard. I'm going to disk utilities to check my hard drive (Macintosh HD) and it says I need to repair it after you start the model of a disk as the installation CD for Mac OSX. I can only check the disk again (because disk "repair" is still gray / UN-can click) and give it begins. I want to repair the disk, not install OSX Agen
Edit: Read this again. I'm not saying that to install the operating system. Boot from the operating system disk. When you reach the point where you see the Utilities menu, Disk Utility in menu, select and run the disk repair. They also suggest to consider getting a copy of Disk Warrior. It's a bit pricey at $ 100, but did a better job that Disk Utility.
Using Repair Disk on Disk Utility from the Install Disc.
